Question 2: HOW EFFECTIVE IS THE COMBINATION OF YOUR MAIN PRODUCT AND ancillary TEXTS?
When creating media product we wanted to ensure that all of our products had an effective but professional theme throughout, in order to do this we has to make sure all of the same colours, fonts and titles were used across all three products. In order to do this we looked at numerous different examples that were unique but familiar. When looking at the more familiar products we had to take not of how well the photos were shot, placed and edited and that mages that were used had to be images that represented the trailer correctly. The images had to be relevant to the trailer, for example our trailer is about Voodoo we would use a possessed child to represent our trailer when that is completely irrelevent, that is something that is good when trying to create a brand, making sure that all three products link together. The better this is done the stronger the brand will be, therefore, the products are going to be popular and will attract more viewers to your trailer. When trying to apply your brands to the horror genre you need to include props, persona, setting, logo and font which is one of the major parts of your icon.
branding within our trailer/poster/magazine
This is the scene where the voodoo doll first appears. This is also when the murderer first appears also, this is showing the doll and the commander and this shows the first sign of of the commander becoming a murderer because of the use of the knife in this shot. We have decided to use elements of the Voodoo doll within all three of our media products because it helps give a sense of what our trailer.

This is the scene where the smoke first appears within the trailer this is also what the leading image on our three products is based on. This is also the first time we see the murderer alone after she becomes evil. We have also decided to use this within all three of our media products because we like the fact that is adds a little bit of mystery and there are multiple elements of mystery within our trailer.

This is a shot that shows the true vulnerability of the final girl. This also shows her alone and looks as though she can sense or see something weird going on. We have decided not to use this within our trailer because we felt that having the victim of our trailer as the cover of our three media products wouldn't be effective enough.

This shot is where we hot the inspiration for our magazine cover pose from. This shows the villain before she become evil looking over her shoulder. The reason why we used this pose on the magazine cover is because you can clearly see the face if the villain but you can also see the voodoo doll being commander behind her.

To conclude, we think that the merge of our main products and our auxiliary text is effective because we have used the same theme throughout all media texts but use in different styles and platforms. the Image where Sarah is golding the voodoo doll is featured in our trailer however, we have slightly changed the pose for the magazine cover. We ha e stuck with the same motif of the voodoo doll because it links with he genre and name of our trailer. We have also used the tagline; she will stab you in the back' as a play on words, as she is literally stabbing the voodoo doll but she is also going behind her friends back by becoming the commander of the doll that is mimicking her 'friend'. We have also created the puzzles below in order to show the synergy between our media texts.
